The Coni Sports Guarantee Board confirmed the sentence of the former president of Palermo Calcio Maurizio Zamparini to five years of inhibition. The story concerns the bankruptcy of the Palermo football club. Inhibition confirmed also for Daniela De Angeli at two years and three months, and for the daughter of the former president Silvana Rita Zamparini at six months and for his wife Laura Giordani also sentenced to six months of inhibition.
The football judges overturned the one-year ban that had been imposed by the Federal Court of Appeal on Alessandro Albanese, former president of Palermo for two months, and for Vincenzo Macaione, former vice president, at nine months and for Michael Treacy, member of the board of directors of Palermo. “I am satisfied – says Alessandro Albanese president of the industrialists assisted in the appeal by the lawyer Alberto Stagno D’Alcontrez – It is the confirmation of the correctness of my work”. The appeals were accepted with referral to the Federal Court for the lawyer Andrea Bettini who on appeal had been sentenced to an inhibition of 6 months and Emanuele Facile, CEO of the club at the time of the Sport Capital Group, to one year of inhibition.
