“I chose Žabiny because I believe that this is the right step in my career and it will take me a step further. I want to improve individually, gain new experiences and push my boundaries,” said the twenty-three-year-old player.
In the top competition, she also played for BA Sparta, respectively Karlovy Vary and Nymburk, and joined USK from 2019. In the past season of the top competition, including the playoffs, she averaged 12 points per game and is currently fighting for a place in the national team for the European Championship.
In addition to the domestic competition, she is also looking forward to the FIBA European Cup with the Žabins, which she has already played with Nymburk in the past. From her last engagement, she has experience in the European League, although in a packed team she was not able to play in the elite competition. “We are waiting for quality matches in the Eurocup, where the goal is to advance from the group and play more difficult matches in the playoffs,” said Sklenářová.
