Eleventh place for Noemi Batki, engaged last night in the European diving championship in progress in Budapest.
A result that cannot fully satisfy the adopted woman from Belluno, at the end of a race marked by two dives to be forgotten at the start.
Batki, registered with the Army and Triestina Nuoto, was engaged by the 10-meter platform, a specialty in which she will be the protagonist at the Tokyo Olympics scheduled between late July and early August. So far from the sixth placement of the last review in Kiev, where instead he had won gold in the sincere ten meters.
The race was won by the Russian Konanykhina, who set herself with a score of 365. 75, ahead of her compatriot Timoshinina (329.20), and the British Spendolini Sirieix (326.60).
For Batki 270.10 total points, while the other blue Jodoin di Maria gets the ninth place with 278.35.
Not well the first dive of Batki, which arrives abundantly in the water and totals 46.50, thus finding herself in the eleventh place at the end of the first series.
The second is even worse, because the blue scores only 40 points, due to a poor entry and in fact with 86.50 is already almost unable to get close to the podium.
In any case, Noemi must be acknowledged to remain mentally connected to the race. This is demonstrated by the third dive, which scores a 62.40 due to a slightly poor entry into the water. Identical score in the fourth dive, performed well by Batki.

Batki had managed to qualify at lunchtime, finishing sixth thanks to a score of 282.70 obtained by performing a triple and a half forward pike, a double and a half back with a twist and a half, a vertical with double back and a twist and half, a triple and a half returned grouped and a double and a half reversed grouped.

We recall that Batki was born in Budapest in 1987, then moved to Belluno at the age of three with her mother Ibolya Nagy, competing at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics with the Hungarian national team. Up to the age of majority Noemi lived in the capital, training in Lambioi and forming a strong bond with the city over time. Not surprisingly, in a recent interview he declared that he wanted to return to Belluno, once his career was over. Batki in Tokyo will take part in his fourth Olympics, after Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016. He could also have competed in synchro from the platform paired with Chiara Pellacani.
