AGROPOLI (SALERNO)
The teams of the Imoco galaxy are starting off on the right foot, involved in the last two national youth finals. In Agropoli, on the seafront in the province of Salerno, the under 19 Imoco had an easy commitment, while the under 15 team in Palermo was much more challenging. In the under 19 there was waiting to see the three veterans from the under 20 world title at work in Rotterdam with the Italy shirt. Coach Stefano Gregoris shuffled the cards a bit without leaking great tactical secrets, in view of the upcoming and difficult races.
In the opening match yesterday morning came the brilliant success with Friends Roma, overtaken 3-0. Partials 25-12, 25-14, 25-18. Imoco superior in all fundamentals. By winning yesterday, the Gialloblù team earned a few more hours of rest. In the afternoon, Igor Novara, the strongest team in the group, beat Volley Friends Roma, again 3-0, but with much clearer sets. Today at 9 there is yet another confrontation, this time at the under 19 level, between Imoco and Novara after the Scudetto finals and the Italian Cup. Whoever wins qualifies for the semifinals scheduled for this afternoon.
In the under 15, Imoco beat Wekondor Catania in Cinisi, in the most important challenge of the group. The match was very close, but in the end the baby panthers prevailed 3-1: partial 25-11, 16-25, 25-11, 25-13. –
