Bilardo, from the dream of Serie A to goals in the province

Growing up in Inter, several appearances in the under national teams, he now plays (and scores) in Castelnovetto in the First category

Francesco Bilardo earned the bomber label with a career punctuated by clusters of goals. Today, at the age of 35, he wears the Castelnovetto (Prima) shirt, with which he has scored three goals in two games.

The Nerazzurri experience

«I stopped to devote myself to footgolf, another great passion. Many wanted me, I chose Castelnovetto because they looked for me more insistently. The target? That of scoring a goal per game », jokes, but not too much, Bilardo, who as a kid was a promise of our football. After starting with Padus Sannazzaro, Bilardo’s talent draws the attention of the big clubs. «I had auditioned with Milan and Juve, then Inter took me, even though I have always been an avid Milan fan. I arrived at Inter when I was 9, I stayed there until the Primavera, at 19. I also played a tournament in Viareggio and was called up for the youth national teams, between Under 15, 16 and 17 ». An emblazoned youth path; then in the football of the great Bilardo scored in bursts in the amateur leagues (memorable the climb with Alagna, dragged to the sound of goals from the Third to the Promotion), with a little taste of professionalism: “In Lecco, in C2 with Mr. Sannino I remained for a little over a month, his preparation was very tough. Then I have wonderful memories of Varese, we won the D and made the C2, exceptional supporters and a quality team ». The Ferrera striker, who works in a company that carries out checks on the Sannazzaro refinery plants, explains what he missed for the big leap: «I have always thought that the better ones are less hungry and willing to sacrifice themselves. I’ve always had fun with the ball between my feet and in the area, it’s my natural habitat ». –
