An 883 song spoke of the heyday of the great Real (Real Madrid). With due proportions, the Bollengo community will now be able to admire the golden age of the great Bollengo, thanks to a splendid open-air exhibition along the boundary wall of the Giacomo Gaglione sports field in Bollengo.

Last Friday, March 26, the mayor of Bollengo Luigi Sergio Ricca, together with some historical figures of the Ivrea club, such as the coach of the 70s Enzo Barbero, Roberto Zanuttini and Alessandro Alberto, sons of Rino and Giuseppe respectively, among those who revived the sportswoman in Bollengo in 1968, together with Secondo Lagna Fietta, Antonio Rossetto, Pier Luigi Bravo, Gino Carucci, Edgardo Laffranchi, Angelo Gaida, Vittorio Smania, Eusebio Perocchia and Pancrazio Bravo, inaugurated this photographic exhibition consisting of 19 photographs significant not only at a sporting level, but also for the social fabric of Bollengo: “We looked for the images – says Ricca – that make hearts vibrate from the late 1920s to the 1990s, of the Bollengo Sports Union, a club founded with few means and a lot of passion in 1927 by Pierino Stratta, Guglielmo Tapparo, Giuseppe Rossetto, Silvio Ceresa and Luigi Stratta. This series of photographs tell the story of a great tradition of the country in the football field, which has produced excellent players such as Bruno Ceresa and Giampiero Stratta. We also wanted to include images of the Giacomo Gaglione tournament, a very heartfelt event in Bollengo that lasted about thirty years and of the women’s Bollengo of the 1980s. Today, after Bollengo Albiano has disappeared, it is the girls of Independiente Ivrea who are on the playing field of Bollengo which, thanks to the work of the manager Valerio Negri, is one of the most beautiful plants in the Canavese area. These giant posters do not represent only the sporting history, but also part of the history of our community and we wanted them, as well as for the embellishment of the street furniture, above all for the historical memory of our country ». –
