Serenity and desire to have fun. The president Luigi Greco indicates the atmosphere that reigns in the first day of preparation of the Bressana (Promotion), under the orders of a technician listed as Claudio Lombardo from Voghera.
“After the long stop due to the pandemic and all the critical issues related to this period, it was not so obvious to find the strength to start again, but the passion for this sport has won over everything else – underlines the patron – I want to thank the guys, who remained in Bressana and those who arrived here appreciated the climate of harmony that characterizes our environment, where the economic aspect is by no means predominant. Starting from the empathy that has been created, we will try to be respected by everyone, without setting a precise target for the ranking ». The number one of the orange club strongly believes in Lombardo’s abilities: «I am someone who values people from the first impact, and an immediate feeling was born with Claudio. He has a great desire to train and the right experience to do well, he knows very well that he can work here with the utmost peace of mind ».
The new orange coach thus returns to coaching in football for the greats, after the recent youth experiences with Derthona and Salicevallestaffora: «The enthusiasm is a lot – explains Lombardo – I really hope that there are no other hitches due to the pandemic. I have to get to know the guys well, I know that we are starting from a broad frame of the past season, fleshed out by some new purchases. On paper, the most consolidated department is the midfield, where Greco, Papa and Barcella remained. As a seasonal goal, we think first of all of salvation, with the idea of enhancing the many young players in the squad ».
The staff and the squad
In the technical staff with Mr. Lombardo, there are the collaborators Mendola, Cattaneo, Dianin and Carpi. The first friendly match is scheduled for Saturday 21 August at the Centro Grigio in Alessandria with Luese (Promotion of Piedmont); on 29 August test with Frigirola, and on 2 September friendly with Casei.
