CASTLE OF AGOGNA

Bonomi collapses at home with Butterfly Roma, a 3-6 defeat that cancels the hopes of reaching third place, while those of accessing the playoffs – in which the first two of the championship will take part – had already died out last week .

However, the Lomellina team is already mathematically sure of arriving in the top four of group A, a fundamental requirement for participating in the Serie A1 championship next season.

Yesterday afternoon at Castello d’Agogna an unlucky race was staged for Bonomi who failed to keep up with the Romans. Guzman, Eguizabal and Costa scored for coach Gimenez’s lomellini, while the Butterfly secured three points thanks to goals from Grossi – star of the match with a decisive hat-trick -, Arosio, Scipioni and Iossa. As mentioned, Bonomi thus remains in fourth place in the standings, while the Capitoline team made the most of Bra’s rest time, winning and reaching five points behind the Piedmontese.

The Romans then reopened the race in second place, also because Bra played one more game and therefore the Butterfly could theoretically go just two points behind.

There are only two rounds left at the end of the regular season. Next Saturday, Bonomi will go away to Padua to face the hosts of Cus Padova and this challenge will also be the last match of the season for Bonomi who will observe the rest period in the last round.

7th day of return: Bonomi Castello d’Agogna-Butterfly Rome 3-6; Ht Sardinia-Cus Padova 5-5; Ht Bologna-Tiber Rome 1-3; Juvenilia-Cus Cagliari 1-2; rest Bra. Classification: Tevere Roma points 36; Bra 35; Butterfly Rome 30; Bonomi 27; Bologna and Cus Cagliari 15; Cus Padova 14; Juvenilia and Ht Sardegna 7. –
