CAGLIARI. A 65-year-old amateur cyclist from Cagliari ended up in red code at the Brotzu hospital after being the victim of an accident on the 195 state road that occurred around 1pm today 29 April.

The man was riding his bicycle when – due to circumstances being investigated by the agents of the accident section of the local police of Cagliari – he was hit by a car that proceeded towards Capoterra, 150 meters before the junction .

An ambulance from 118 intervened on the spot, whose operators rescued the injured cyclist by transporting him to the hospital in red code. The conditions would be severe enough. The municipal police carried out the legal findings and initiated investigations into the incident. (L.on)
