CAGLIARI. Fabio Liverani is the new Cagliari coach. Arrives in the city tomorrow morning 8 June, disembarkation in Elmas around 10.30. No statements are expected because he has not signed the contract at the moment. Liverani, from Rome, 46, played in the Cagliari youth academy before playing for Palermo, Fiorentina, Lazio and Perugia.
As a coach after the experiences with Ternana and Genoa from 2017 he brought Lecce to Serie A from C in two seasons. Relegated the following season he then led Parma two years ago until mid-season before being sacked.
