A magic from Keita Balde and a penalty from Joao Pedro give an important point against a difficult opponent
REGGIO EMILIA. Cagliari finally concrete and close to the first external hit of the season. In the away match on the Sassuolo field it ends 2-2, with a rossoblù team finally fighting for every ball and always looking for success.
Already at the start, Mazzarri’s team showed that they wanted to aim for victory. In the second half still a good Cagliari at the start, but at 52 ‘comes the new advantage for the hosts with a penalty converted by the blue Berardi and caused by a foul by Lykogiannis on Frattesi. Once again the violent reaction of Cagliari resulted in a new draw four minutes later thanks to Joao Pedro who got the penalty by being fouled in the area by Frattesi and kicking the shot from 11 meters with precision, displacing the Sassuolo goalkeeper.
Then Cagliari continued to seek victory, to counter blow for blow to the opponents. It ended 2-2 and in any case it is a point of hope for the rossoblùs who are now waiting for the home game against Salernitana on Friday to regain success and perhaps look to the future with a little more optimism. Above all, they liked the team’s determination, that desire to recover their destiny compared to a Cagliari that seemed resigned.
