Excellent start to the season of Calton, San Giorgio Canavese’s team, in group D of women’s Serie D. After five games, the team of president Paolo Bruno is second in the standings, with fourteen points, against two 3-0 wins on the second day against Fortitudo Chivasso and last Saturday with Cogne Aosta; as many 3-1 on the third and fourth day against Union Pinerolo and RivaCastel volley; a success at the tie break, on the first day against Lanzo.
Satisfied coach Flavio Peroglio, in his fourth year on the bench of the sangiorgesi, comments: “We started the season in the best way, taking five out of five wins and on Saturday we will already have a game that could be a watershed, given that we will face the leaders Volley Cigliano away , just one point ahead of us – says Peroglio -. Analyzing these first five games, the best played was against Fortitudo Chivasso on the second day: we were away, we had an excellent first set and then we were very good at knowing how to manage the return of the yellow-green Chivassesi and win with merit 3-0 . However, there is one match that I would like to play again and it is the one against Lanzo in the first league game. Not so much because we only scored two points, but because we started off on the wrong foot, losing the first two sets and then we were forced to chase, putting the game back on the right tracks ».
