Candia, five flashes at the prestigious matches on the Po Two golds in the Under 17 women

Five medals, two gold and three bronze is the loot obtained by the Canottieri Candia 2010 at the national rowing competition In winter on the Po, held on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 February on the waters of the Po river in Turin. Two days full of emotions for the young Candiesi athletes, starting with the first place on Saturday 12 February of Sergio Andreo and David Allasia in the 2X Under 17 category over a distance of 5,000 meters. Also on Saturday, but on a distance of 1,000 meters, third position for Simone Maschio in the B2 students category.

On the other hand, Sunday 13th was more profitable, starting with the gold conquered in the 5,000 meters by the crew of Cernobbio Saturnia in the 4X category of Under 17 women, thanks also to the Simona Fichitiu singlet from Candia. Also on Sunday, third position for two other crews with Candia athletes: in the 8+ category over a distance of 5,000 meters, bronze medal of the Sampierdarenesi boat, also made up of athletes from the Canottieri Candia 2010 company: Sergio Andreo, David Allasia, Luca Cordera, Federico Ghisafi, Alessandro Serghei, Alessandro Vescovi and the helmsman Gregorio Cimenti. Another bronze in the 4X Cadet category for the crew made up of: Andrea Nuccio, Lorenzo Soncin, Riccardo Lungu and Angelo Ternievskaia.

Satisfied not only with the five medals, the coach of Canottieri Candia 2010 Federico Nuccio: «All our boys offered performances made of personality and determination fighting against very strong opponents – says Nuccio -. Going into more detail about the medals, in the 4X category it is the second consecutive year that we manage to hit the podium, after another third place achieved last year.
