The Chinese Men’s Professional Basketball League (CBA) recently announced the salary cap and player maximum salary for the 2021-2022 season. In the new season, the upper limit of the overall basic salary cap of domestic players for a single team is 44 million yuan, and the lower limit is 16 million yuan.
In addition, the maximum salary limit for a single domestic player is 6 million yuan, and the overall salary limit for a single team foreign player is 5 million US dollars.
Compared with the previous season, the local salary cap limit will remain unchanged at 44 million yuan in the new season. The lower limit was reduced from 20 million yuan last season to 16 million yuan, and the maximum salary of a single domestic player was reduced from 8 million yuan last season to 6 million yuan. The upper limit of the foreign aid salary cap for a single team has also been reduced from last season’s 7 million US dollars to 5 million US dollars.
