For the president of the Lombard and former company of Cagliari, seizure of assets in a much lower amount than the request: 700 thousand euros instead of 50 million
BRESCIA. No to arrest, yes to the seizure of assets but to a lesser extent than the requests: 700 thousand euros against the 50 million euros requested by the prosecutor. This is what was decided by the Brescia review court on the position of Massimo Cellino, current owner of Brescia Calcio and former president of Cagliari Calcio.
The judges rejected the request for arrest by the prosecutor for Cellino in prison and for his wife at home because, according to the provision, Cellino has moved his residence to Brescia and has begun to pay his position in installments with the tax authorities so there is no longer danger of escape. The crime of tax inversion and obstacle to supervision was recognized, while the review did not recognize the crime of self-laundering. (HANDLE).
