Francesco Ceolin is the great protagonist of the regional swimming championships reserved for the Beginners A category. The young swimmer of Sportamente Belluno wins three golds and one silver in the Treviso pool. The event dedicated to athletes born between 2008 and 2010 was divided into four days. In the first, Ceolin graduated for the first time regional champion in the 100 freestyle (58. 84). As for her teammates, Carlotta Brida finished third in the 50 style (30. 21) and eighth in the 200 butterfly (3. 01. 74). Anna Simon is also eighth in the 100 breaststroke (1. 27. 64). In the same specialty, debut to remember for Alberto Corrò (1. 26. 77) and Alessandro Nerviani (1. 26. 43), with the latter also doing his duty in the 100 style (1. 05. 06). Francesco Ceolin’s second medal is silver, in the 100 butterfly (1. 06. 57). Anna Simon (fourteenth in 3. 17. 19) and Alessandro Nerviani (thirteenth in 3. 05. 55) in the 200 breaststroke also expressed themselves on good levels. Ceolin’s last two golds arrive in the 100 backstroke (1. 06. 88) and, the next day, in the 50 freestyle (27. 08). Also worthy are the performances of Brida (5. 15. 07) and Nerviani (5. 09. 44) in the 400 freestyle, as well as those of Simon (2. 55. 86) and Corrò (2. 49. 74) in the 200 mixed. Finally, Riccardo Cervo improves his staff in the 1500s (21. 44. 37).
“These results make me proud”, comments the coach Daniela Piermarini, “and the boys have had the merit of imposing themselves in the various distances, despite the closures of the plants, the few races and the difficulty of organizing a long-term preparation”.
Who Ondablu
For the other company from Belluno engaged between Monastier and Treviso in the regional finals of the Esordienti A, the good performances of Mathias D’Incà should be noted. The rider Ondablu arrives fourteenth in the 100 backstroke (1. 15. 81) and twenty-fifth in the 100 freestyle (1. 06. 56). “Mathias swam managing well the first experience of a final of a regional championship”, underlines his coach, Marco Zandomeneghi, “which he earned thanks to an excellent season, with a lot of effort in training and good races held in the spring”. –
