Rome, 24 August 2021 – A star goes out in the music firmament. At 80 he died Charlie Watts, legend of the Rolling Stones of which he was drummer and co-founder. The BBC passed away today in London, reporting the announcement of the musician’s British agent. Watts had given up on the last Stones tour in recent days due to a deteriorating health condition. Among the souls of the rock icon band, in 2016 he was placed in 12th place by Rolling Stones magazine, among the 100 best drummers ever.
