Chiellini in Los Angeles in Mls: close agreement, now the farewell to Juve

Giorgio Chiellini is not yet in Los Angeles but, step by step, he is entering California. Yesterday in London, the Los Angeles Football Club, destined to become his new team, met his agent Davide Lippi. Result: further steps forward for an agreement that has yet to be defined but looks like it is on the way. The Los Angeles franchise is optimistic, Chiellini too. Of course, there is some aspect to be defined, from an economic, logistical, technical point of view.

A year and a half

The contractual issue is the best known: Los Angeles cannot offer Chiellini a designated player contract, the one without limits – extra salary cap – reserved for the most important players. Between image rights and sponsorships, however, a solution should be found. At the same time, Chiello must organize his family life – the move, whether solitary or shared, remains a unique experience – and prepare for a season and a half of American football. In fact, his contract will be for 18 months, with a transfer at the end of the month. For the time being, however, the American leaders have returned to California.

The next appointment, in fact, will be with Juve. The captain, a year ago, signed a biennial with Andrea Agnelli. The idea, and to think about it, is sad, was to stay together at least until the World Cup in Qatar. The national team went as it went and Chiellini, now that he has played the last few games in European football, must resolve that agreement to free himself. Logically, there will be no problems. Juve has already celebrated him in every way. The last one, an Instagram post in which he defines him as “Legendissima”.
