According to the FIS Winter Olympics points standard, the women’s super giant slalom is the last event in the 11 events that has not yet reached the standard of Chinese athletes. In the Women’s Super Giant Slalom FIS Points Competition held in Reitlam, Austria on January 7th, Chinese players Kong Fanying and Ni Yueming played well. After the competition, their points reached 71.59 and 58.03 respectively. China has successfully “unlocked” the qualifications for the entire alpine skiing event.

After the Raytram competition, Kong Fanying also became the first player in the Chinese alpine ski training team to meet the entry standards in all five women’s disciplines. Previously, Zhang Yangming and Xu Mingfu had reached the standard in all five men’s events.

According to the arrangement of the Chinese alpine skiing training team, the men’s team has returned to China on December 26 and entered the closed training base; the women’s team will participate in the last competition in Austria on January 14, and will return to China for sprint preparations on the 16th.

Alpine skiing is a highly concerned event in the Winter Olympics and is known as the “Pearl in the Crown of the Winter Olympics”. There are five events for men and women, namely downhill, super giant slalom, giant slalom, slalom, and all-around. There are also mixed group events. Although all the events are determined by the time of completion, according to the competitive characteristics of each event, downhill and super giant slalom are “speed events”, while giant slalom and slalom are “technical events”.

According to FIS regulations, each delegation can send up to 11 men and women to participate in the Beijing Winter Olympics. Final allocation and attribution will be determined after January 17.
