Chinese Women’s Table Tennis Team Defeats India 3-2 in World Championships Opener

In the women’s team group stage of the World Table Tennis Team Championships on February 16, the Chinese team, comprised of Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu, and Wang Yidi, secured a strong start by defeating the Indian team with a score of 3-2.

Sun Yingsha made a comeback in the fourth game, defeating Manika Batra with a score of 3-1, while Wang Manyu secured the victory for the Chinese team by winning the fifth game against Ashika Mukherjee with a score of 3-0.

In a post-match interview, Sun Yingsha acknowledged the initial challenges, stating that the key points were not handled well enough in the first game. However, she expressed confidence in her performance, noting that she was able to “open up” a little during the subsequent games, which will be beneficial for the team in future matches.
