Chivas will not have Chicharito Hernández against Pachuca

Chivas will be facing off against Pachuca this Saturday without their forward Javier Hernández, who is sidelined with muscle problems. Coach Fernando Gago has decided not to risk him and he will not be part of the squad for the match.

The red-and-white team will travel to Bella Airosa with a squad of 21 players, including José Juan Macías. Chicharito will not be making the trip due to adductor problems, which were reported by the club.

This is not the first time Hernández has missed a match due to injury, as he was also absent from a recent game against Rayados due to a stomach issue.

Three players, Mateo Chávez, Armando González, and Jesús Brígido, will travel with the team but will be playing with the Sub 23 squad.

Fernando Gago’s complete call-up for Chivas’ visit to Pachuca includes goalkeepers Raúl Rangel and Óscar Whalley, defenders Antonio Briseño, Gilberto Sepúlveda, Leonardo Sepúlveda, Jesús Sánchez, Gilberto Chiquete, José Castillo, and Alan Mozo, midfielders Víctor Guzmán, Erick Gutiérrez, Fernando Beltrán, Rubén González, and Yael Padilla, and attackers Ricardo Marín, Roberto Alvarado, Carlos Cisneros, Cade Cowell, José Juan Macías, Pavel Pérez, and Isaac Brizuela.

The team is gearing up for what is sure to be a challenging match against Pachuca in Matchday 15 of Clausura 2024.
