The new president Gustav Petro, who will take office on 7 August, he expressed the hope that “all the people involved in the collapse of some of the stands of an arena in El Espinal will be able to survive their injuries”. Petro recalled that “something similar had happened some time ago in Sincelejo”, urging the municipalities not to authorize more shows that could “involve the death of animals or people”.
