Barcelona, May 24, 2021 – The body of a 39-year-old man has been found inside a statue of dinosaur in Spain, in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, satellite city of Barcelona. The Mossos d’Esquadra, the local police, is still investigating, but it seems to exclude the possibility of a murder, following the trail of the accident, of the strange fatality.
In fact, from the first investigations it seems that the victim was trying to retrieve the mobile phone, when he fell inside the papier-mache stegosaurus, remaining stuck inside.
To notice something strange in the statue they had been a father, who, together with his son, gave the alarm on Saturday afternoon. A spokesperson for the Catalan police told the media: “We found the body of a man inside the leg of this dinosaur statue. It is an accidental death. This person entered the leg of the statue and was trapped. It appears he was standing. trying to retrieve a cell phone. It seems that he entered through the head of the statue and could not get out. “
To recover the body of the unfortunate the agents have had to call in the fire brigade, and so to have the statue cut and reach the man’s body. “We are still waiting for the autopsy results, so we don’t know how long it was inside the statue, but it looks like it was for a couple of days,” the authorities clarify. Spanish media wrote that the family had reported the 39-year-old’s disappearance a few hours before the discovery.
