London, 18 October 2021 – New leap in covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours in Great Britain, where they register 49,156 new positive cases and 45 deaths. Yesterday there were 45,140 new infections and 57 dead. Today’s figure appears particularly high taking into account that generally fewer infections are recorded on Mondays due to the lower number of swabs at the weekend. In the country, the percentage of over 12 vaccinated with one dose is 85.9%, 78.9% with two doses.
