Danilo: “Don’t give up on your dream, there is an enormous strength within you”

It is called “Futuro Re2ondo”, it is a project carried out by Danilo, Juventus right side. The summer holidays were a good opportunity to return home to Bicas: the Brazilian footballer met the 140 children and adolescents he supports in after-school activities – free of charge – by offering sports activities, school support, dental care, pedagogical and psychosocial support . During the pandemic he had also distributed food to families in difficulty, now the project has returned to mainly support the new generations along the path of growth. The Juventus full-back – as usual – gave a motivational speech, as well as spending a day among the educators.

“There may be times when we are sad, when we think we are not capable, when we would like to give up everything, but if you give up before you have tried, you will not be proud of yourself – his words -. There may be times when you need help, and that is why there is ‘Futuro Re2ondo’, the teachers and all those who are part of it, who are here to support you ”. Sport as the main vehicle of healthy values: “Football has taught me a lot and this is what I try to convey with this project – explained Danilo -. Don’t give up on your dream or your goals, but learn to prepare and focus yourself. There is a force within you that you cannot even imagine ”. For the full-back of the Brazilian national team it was also an opportunity to re-embrace some of his former teachers.

Danilo was one of Allegri’s pleasant discoveries. “When he speaks he is never banal and always puts the team first,” said the Juventus coach recently. Last season he also wore the captain’s armband in some circumstances, in the various rotations. And certainly he is a candidate to be among the main protagonists of next year. “At Juve I found everything I have always looked for around the world,” admitted the full-back in a recent interview. In short, he hopes to divide himself between Turin and Bicas for a long time, with the clear intention of doing well with the Juve shirt and continuing to commit himself to social issues in his hometown. “This project was a dream and just an idea, today it is a real project that can offer moments of leisure and learning. It is very exciting for me to be here with you ”, he told the young people of Bicas.
