Andy Fletcher was the co-founder of the mythical group, along with Vince Clark (initially leader and mastermind of the group). From the bottom he quickly switches to keyboards and synthesizers, never completely abandoning the first instrument. A short time later Martin Gore and Dave Gahan joined the band, while Clark left the group in 1981 (to found Yazoo with Alison Moyet and later Erasure with Andy Bell, ed).
