Deplorable working conditions, unfulfilled salary promises… the Stade Brestois women’s team threatens to strike

The Stade Brestois women’s team, which plays in D3, officially revealed its “fed up” in an open letter relayed on Wednesday by the website Footballers. In it, the players of the Finistère club denounce “deplorable travel conditions”, the lack of consideration from managers, unfulfilled financial promises as well as the unsanitary accommodation in which several players live.

“Some contracts were signed five months after the girls arrived at the club. They had to support themselves, far from their families, without the slightest income. When they signed their contract, five months later, the amount was lower than what was said when they arrived. The entire staff contributed to help them financially,” wrote the Brest women’s team, which is threatening to strike.
