We return to the field this evening, Wednesday 22 September, to play the second day of the first phase of the thirty-eighth edition of the Piedmont C and D Series Volleyball Cup for men and women, Fratel Giovanni Dellarole trophy. In group 4, at 20.30, the Canavese derby between Montalto Dora and Finimpianti Rivarolo is scheduled (the only challenge of the season, given that Montalto Dora and Finimpianti Rivarolo have been included in two different groups of women’s Serie C), at the same time the Calton, team of San Giorgio Canavese, will be engaged at the Giovanni Falcone di Leinì gym against the Turin players and Cogne Aosta will face Fenusma, in an all-Aosta Valley derby. This is the classification: Finimpianti Rivarolo, Fenusma and Montalto Dora 3 points; Calton, Leinì and Cogne Aosta 0. Moving to group 5, today at 9 pm at the PalaLancia in Chivasso Fortitudo will face the Turin team of Sangip, the same time also for ValChisone-Cigliano, while the match between RivaCastel volley (union of the sector youth of Rivarolo volley and Castellamonte) and San Mauro. Ranking: San Mauro, Cigliano and ValChisone 3 points; Sangip, RivaCastel volley and Fortitudo Chivasso 0.
In the men’s field, in group 2, at 21, Borgofranco will be involved in the Vercelli area against Santhià Alicese. These are the other matches scheduled: Arona-Verbania and Biella-Volley Vercelli.
