Venice, 9 October 2021 – Fear this afternoon in the fraction of Chiapuzza, San Vito di Cadore (Belluno), for the detachment of a huge rock, around 6.30 pm, from Croda Marcora, in the Sorapis dolomitic group.
The debris of the resulting landslide they poured downstream, the cloud hit Chiapuzza, but fortunately in an uninhabited area: no one was injured or missing.
On the spot they went the firefighters of the Cortina detachment and the volunteers of San Vito to assess the damage and risks in the area. Further checks were postponed until tomorrow morning with the use of the “Drago 81” helicopter with technical personnel on board.
