Algiers, June 26, 2022 – In Algeria a strong earthquake shockfrom magnitude 4.2 on the Richter scale (For the USGS Geological Institute of magnitude 4.5), it hit close to Not now, city that hosts 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games.
The earthquake was recorded around 20.20, local time with localized epicenter 13 kilometers north-east of central western Algeria at a depth of 10 kilometers. The Mediterranean Games will last until 6 July, Italy participates in it with 370 athletes, the largest delegation.
L’Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) also recorded a second quake in magnitude 3.4 seven minutes after the first, and a third of 3.6 over an hour later.
