18-year-old freestyle star Gu Ailing continues to win as she completed a perfect FIS Freestyle World Cup season with an astonishing 97.50 points in the U-Pool course in Mammoth Mountain, California.
Gu Ailing, the double champion of women’s U-shaped field skills at the 2021 World Championships and X Games, once again dominated the U-shaped pool field, and her perfect performance allowed her to complete her fourth consecutive championship in this event.
“I’m completely confused now, 97.50 points is the highest score of my career, and today’s performance can be regarded as one of the best U-groove performances of my career, I’m really proud of myself. After winning the championship at this site, Gu Ailing also became the first athlete in the history of the FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup to win four consecutive championships (including all athletes in freestyle skiing). She also won her first career crystal ball trophy.
