MONASTIER

Emanuela Bittante is the Italian Master Champion in the M60 category. The swimmer from Ondablu (the company that manages the swimming pools of Santa Giustina and Pedavena) won a double gold medal at the Tricolori Masters which, this year, due to Covid, took place on a regional basis, to contain the movements. In the Olympic swimming pool of Monastier di Treviso, Bittante obtained the highest step of the podium both in the 100 and in the 200 breaststroke. Thanks to this double triumph in Monastier, the athlete from Sant’Angelo ended the season at the top of the national Masters rankings, becoming Italian champion in both the 100 and 200. Her performances (1. 36. 06 in the 100; 3. 30. 79 in the 200) had no equal in Italy, at least in the M60 range. Twelve other Ondablu athletes showed up at the starting blocks in Monastier. The athlete-coach Mara Grelloni (M40) had touched the podium in the 100 dolphin finishing fourth and also finished sixth in the 400 style. Federico Longo (M25) also did well, eighth in the 400 sitle and ninth in the 200 medley. Monica De Menech, Lara D’Alberto, Bruno Carissimi Boff, Thomas Dal Piva, Fabio Groppo, Calogero Grova, Nicola Scopel, Michele Tonin, Gianluigi Tres and Fabio Zuglian are also growing. –
