Two games were played last night at the Grande Torino stadium between Toro and Empoli. The first lasted half an hour and saw Torino close it 2-0 thanks to the goals scored in the first ten minutes by Pobega and Pjaca, the other began at 30 ‘when the referee Colombo, at the suggestion of Var Mazzoleni, he expelled the Singo outside grenade for a foul on Di Francesco who was flying towards the door. And it ended 0-2 for the Tuscans. Endless grenade controversy also because initially the referee had drawn the yellow card. The final decision, however, was the right one. A minute later on a corner kick Empoli shortened the distance thanks to a header from Romagnoli and there another match began with Juric forced to remove a striker (Pjaca) and insert a Vojvodina winger.
In the second half, Empoli crushed Toro in their half of the field. Mantia with the head signed the 2-2 on a cross from Luperto. Andreazzoli’s team thus keeps Toro behind in the standings. Not bad considering how it started.
