The three standard bearers of the Pavia Moto Club placed between 12th and 23rd place in the overall standings Almost 500 competitors in the running, 21 retirements in the debut race

After the three races for the assignment of the Trophies for Nations, the race for the conquest of the Club Trophy began yesterday morning, the one in which non-professionals, or rather gentlemen pilots, participate. A race within the race, in reality, in which the almost 500 competitors not only chase the placement useful for the team classification, but also chase the personal result, which allows you to achieve the so-called medals depending on the gap with respect to the fastest driver of the own class (gold within 10%, silver within 40% and bronze for all the others).
On this first day, the “hunger” of the Italian competitors clearly emerged, occupying 8 of the top ten places in the overall ranking. The people of Pavia have put into practice tactics, sometimes very different: some have opted for greater prudence and a wait-and-see approach, which in such a long race makes perfect sense, others have decided to push hard right away. This second tactic has rewarded, in particular the standard bearers of the Moto Club Pavia Senior team: all three competitors have performed well, occupying the upper floors of the ranking: the best was Guido Conforti, 12th in the overall classification, while Niccolò Scarpelli and Niccolò Bruschi finished 21st and 23rd respectively. The Moto Club Pavia B also did well, with Walter Bossi 49th, Edgardo Paganini 69th and Matteo Pietranera 116th. In the Busco Bros Team, at the end of the first day the fastest of the Buscone brothers was Riccardo, 111th and long within the first hundred; 166th Paul and 219th Francis. For the expert Fabio Fasola 173th place. 21 retreats on this first day.
