Rome, April 6, 2021 – The world of sport and football sees a small light at the end of the pandemic tunnel: today, in fact, the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, officially communicated to the President of the Football Association, Gabriele Gravina, the favorable opinion of the Government to partial opening of the stadiums for the Euro 2020 matches which will be played in Italy next summer and which will see Mancini’s blues as protagonists. Now the ball passes to the Scientific Technical Committee which will have to clarify the protocols that should allow the public to attend these events. The goal, as also requested by UEFA, is now to be able to reopen the facilities with a capacity of at least 25%, but obviously everything will pass as said by the CTS opinion.
Gravina’s satisfaction
The news was received with great satisfaction by number one of the Gravina Football Federation who wanted to publicly thank Speranza: “The willingness of the Government is an excellent result that is good for football. I would like in particular to thank Minister Speranza who informed us that he had given the task to the CTS to identify the best solutions to allow the presence of the public at the Olympic stadium in Rome on the occasion of the next European championship. “The President of the FIGC then announced full collaboration with Undersecretary for Sport Valentina Vezzali to carry out this mission: “We will collaborate in synergy with Undersecretary Valentina Vezzali, who is accompanying us on this path. We have been sent a signal with a strong perspective on the recovery, which we will promptly transfer to UEFA. “
