Europa League: Pioli, turnover? It’s team management – Football

“Turnover? I don’t like the term at all, for me it’s about managing the team and a group that will have to play five games in 15 days. The choices against Monza were dictated by the data I had, on the players’ conditions. I will do choices for tomorrow as for Atalanta”: says Milan coach Stefano Pioli on the eve of the match against Rennes for the second leg of the Europa League playoffs.

The Rossoneri coach was criticized for the many changes made in Monza, a match that ended in a heavy defeat. But now Milan’s focus is only on Europe. “We work to get results and when you don’t get them in a great team the criticism comes, it’s normal. Everyone is fine, we had an extra day of rest compared to Sunday and everyone is fit to play. We have taken a clear lead and deserved but we have to keep working to qualify”, Pioli recalls after the 3-0 first leg win against Rennes.
