But Villarreal have done even better: the Yellow Submarine has played fourteen times in this Europa League, having started from the group stage, and has never lost. The Spaniards are looking for their first success in the competition, while Unai Emery wants to confirm himself as a master: the coach has already won three times with Sevilla, while with Arsenal he was defeated in the final in 2019. Should the cup arrive, Emery would detach Trapattoni and would become the most successful solo in the Europa League / Uefa Cup. The previous four date back to the group stages of the Champions League of the 2005/2006 and 2008/2009 editions, with a very interesting peculiarity: all the matches ended with a score of 0-0.
