Extraordinary From Rold Belluno. Monselice ko and the final is mortgaged

Marco Boz, the best in the field

Great team performance against the Paduan, with Boz (19 points) who was the absolute protagonist

His majesty the great volleyball. Al De Mas won first of all the spectacle of this game and then a phenomenal team, which never gives up.

Game 1 of the playoff semifinal ends 3-1 for a never tamed Belluno Volleyball, led by a majestic Boz and a commendable spirit of sacrifice on the part of all. In the presence of Colussi and his companions, a lady team, Monselice, a battleship made up of expert and high-level players, which will surely fight in race 2, because everything is still very open. Woe to underestimate a team that loses 3-0 in Treviso and then overturns the result in the golden set in the second leg. But in the meantime we can and must enjoy this victory.

Coach Poletto fielded the typical formation: Colussi on the dribble, Paganin and Piazzetta in the middle, Candeago and Seveglievich in the band, Martinez free and Boz opposite.

Starting from diesel of the rhinos who suffer on the wall and remain hooked to the guests, who miss a few jokes too many. The Paduan – also unbeaten in their group – try to make a big voice in the early stages of the game. The Gialloblù recovery comes slowly; it is a beautiful wall of Paganin (7-9) to launch the rescue. The catch comes at 13-13 after a monstrous pipe from Candeago with an ace from Boz. The opposite of Belluno leads the comeback and puts the decisive lunge in the farmhouse with a fundamental break, 19-16. In the final, after a spectacular one-handed lift by Colussi, it is always Boz who hammers and closes the first set, 25-20.

The tension rises in the second part, which begins with a Belluno domination, until 19-11. Coach Poletto’s boys start immediately strong with a Boz wall but it is Piazzetta who takes the chair with this fundamental: the yellow-blue center scores four consecutive walls and the rhinos fly on 11-5. The Boz-Piazzetta axis is devastating on the wall and Monselice gets nervous. A skirmish between captains Colussi and Drago lights something up in the guests: a red each and the Belluno goes out. At 21-18 the Gialloblù remain with their nerve and take home a sweaty set with a nice wall from Piazzetta, 25-22.

Monselice is not there and in the third set he raises the engine revs, forcing the joke a lot and putting the hosts’ reception in difficulty. Poletto tries to change but Monselice dominates and closes the set, 18-25.

Balance reigns in the fourth and last set, it is played on the nerves and neither team spares. An ace from Piazzetta and a wall from Boz extinguish the hopes of a comeback from a Monselice who once again gets nervous; another red card for 24-19 which sanctions the victory for the rhinos. The first battle was won, on Saturday the second round.
