by admin

After the announcement of the stay in Formula 1, the Italian brand has presented its new project manager who will report directly to Jean-Philippe Imparato, CEO of the Biscione brand

Cristiano Fiorio has been appointed head of Alfa Romeo Formula 1 and reports to Jean-Philippe Imparato, CEO of the Alfa Romeo Brand. The announcement follows the renewal of the partnership between Alfa Romeo and Sauber Motorsport for which both have decided to continue their adventure in the most important car championship in the world. Fiorio assumes responsibility for the Alfa Romeo F1 project, at a historic moment in which the Italian house is rewriting its future and planning its long-term plan, with a nod to electrification. Also in this context, the presence in F1 is fundamental for the brand, a key territory to escort it towards an increasingly competitive future.

The new manager

Cristiano Fiorio is from Turin, was born in 1972 and is married with two children. In FCA, where he has been working since 2013, he has already held the position of Head of Brand Marketing Communication at Emea; he was therefore responsible for advertising, digital, events, sponsorships and salons of all the FCA brands. Since November 2019, he has headed the launch team for the new electric 500. Previously he worked in the field of major events, tourism and in companies specializing in sporting events, sports and marketing communication. He is a member of the Basicnet board (brands Superga, Kappa, Sebago, Kway and others).
