The Italian boxing championships begin today in Montecatini. They will go on until Monday with the preliminary rounds that will designate the athletes qualified for the semifinals. The final stages, on the other hand, will be held in Massa from 17 to 19 December. Sardinia will compete with eight boxers and among this the presence of Federico Serra (BC Domenico Mura, in the photo) stands out in the 52 kg category, who will go hunting for the flag. Lorenzo Fais (Sulcis Boxe) will also go up in the same category in the ring. These are the other Sardinians present: Samuele Canu (56 kg), Jonathan Rubino (60 kg), Matteo Ara (64 kg), Claudiu Lacatus (69 kg), Elia Amadu (75 kg), Marco Satta Giannichedda (81 kg) and Marco Pisu (91 kg).
