Fidal Veneto’s “no stadia” activity Zardini takes over from Pavei

The regional coordination of the sector remains in Belluno hands. It includes specialties (including Masters) that do not take place on the track

THE INTERVIEW

From Giulio Pavei to Marco Zardini: the guide of the “no stadia” activity of Fidal Veneto remains in the hands of Belluno. A great recognition for the former president of As Vodo, recently elected councilor of Fidal Veneto with an excellent response of votes: he will be in charge of coordinating all the activities that do not take place on the track: from mountain running to cross, from road running to walking, from trail to Nordic walking.

“It makes me particularly proud that I was offered this role of coordinator, among other things taking the baton from the hands of Giulio Pavei, also from Belluno, who in these four years has done an excellent job”, begins Zardini, also a member, not surprisingly, of the Masters commission, «the“ no stadia ”world is represented for over 90% by athletes in the Masters age group, who represent an important slice of the athletics movement. We must make sure that a Master in Fidal feels at home. For him, the Fidal must not only represent a race fee or the membership to be renewed. He must find in the federation, answers, services and consideration for his activity. The Veneto Masters Commission has been working in this direction for four years, so much so that in recent years it has become an example to follow. There is a lot to do in the two commissions of which I am a member but this does not scare us for sure “, Zardini says,” indeed we are already working with our heads down, despite the particular period, to propose a calendar, modify regulations adapting them to to compete safely and allow athletics to return to being a protagonist as soon as possible. For the world of Masters I am also working in parallel with the provincial committee of Belluno “, continues Zardini,” the president Imperatore and his technical trustee Corte invited me to a meeting in which we considered implementing the dedicated initiatives also at the provincial level. We have in mind a championship with tests involving both the track world and the various “no-stadia” disciplines. A beautiful project which, however, will see the light soon ».
