Fiorentina redeems themselves immediately, beat Sampdoria 3-1

by admin

Fiorentina immediately redeems the bitter knockout with Empoli, overturning Sampdoria 3-1. After Gabbiadini’s initial advantage, Callejon, Vlahovic and Sottil take care of giving a precious success to the Italian team, which temporarily drops to -1 from fifth place occupied by Roma. Back from two victories in a row, D’Aversa’s blucerchiati are back to lose.

The guests break the balance at the Franchi in the quarter of an hour of play, thanks to the perfect header by Gabbiadini on a cross from the usual Candreva. The Viola is not there and ten minutes later responds immediately by drawing with Callejon, who enters the cross by Sottil putting in the 1-1 from a few steps.

After half an hour, the Italian team overturns everything with Vlahovic, served in a great way by Bonaventura and able to head the first real ball available, bringing Fiorentina to 2-1. Before the break there is also room for Sottil’s trio, who after a deflected cross shot by Bonaventura, cannot miss the 3-1 goal in front of goal.

In the second half the same Sottil fails his personal double only in front of Audero, then the Tuscans control the double advantage well and risk very little on the rare dangers brought by Sampdoria around Terracciano. In the end little else happens, just a failed opportunity by Candreva in the recovery to try to rekindle the hopes of the guests. At the triple whistle Fiorentina celebrates with the eighth victory in the league.
