From June 12th to 17th, 89 candidates entered the Zigong Swimming School and participated in the national sports single-stroke examinations for diving and synchronized swimming. It is reported that this is also the first time Zigong has hosted the national sports single-stroke examination.
It is understood that the 2022 National Sports Special Enrollment Examination in Sichuan has undertaken 5 special examinations, including: 4 national unified examination items, including water polo, diving, synchronized swimming, badminton (male); 1 item, which is track and field. Three of the four test centers in the province are in Chengdu and one is in Zigong. A total of more than 1,900 candidates took the test.
It is reported that the Zigong test center undertakes 2 specialties of diving and synchronized swimming, involving 89 candidates. Among them, there are 70 athletes, 17 first-level athletes, and 2 second-level athletes. From 2018 to 2021, Zigong will send 5 athletes to the first-line training team of the Sichuan diving team, and 8 new athletes will be sent for training.
In the men’s double three-meter springboard competition in the 14th National Games diving competition, Zigong athlete Li Jincong won the third place, the men’s team and the women’s team won the fourth place, and completed the diving of the 14th National Games in 2021. Goal tasks for 1-2 medals in the competition.
As the second diving team of Sichuan Province, Zigong City has rich experience and achievements in diving. Gao Min, the “Queen of Diving”, is an outstanding athlete in Zigong diving. The Zigong Synchronized Swimming Team was re-established in March 2021, and a provincial and municipal co-construction agreement was initially reached with the provincial bureau to build the second synchronized swimming team in Sichuan Province.
