RIVARA
A competitive season still difficult, but far from stingy in feedback, for the Shin Gitai, a Rivarese association dedicated to martial arts.
In fact, in a year strongly influenced by the Covid emergency, the club led by maestro Attilio Panetta has chosen to maintain a strict line for the prevention of infections among its members by declining participation in the National Championships, Open and Internships, even if organized in compliance laws. But despite this, the noteworthy results achieved by the standard bearers of the Canavese club were different: once in the limelight for the master Panetta, who in December passed the exam that allowed him to reach the grade of 7th Dan , test supported in video link with an international commission chaired by master SJ Nekoofar, one of the greatest exponents of world karate, with the achievement of the prestigious diploma of the Ikai International Karate Advance Institute. Black belt 1st Dan for Potito Antonacci, who showed excellent preparation in front of the Fik Piemonte regional commission. Coming to the many students of the Alto Canavese association, the kyu passing exams were held in the same month, with all the young athletes who conquered the jump of categories and consequent new belt. On the competitive level, the only winter race that saw the Canavesani on the tatami was staged on Sunday 19 December in Villanova D’Asti. In the end five golds, six silvers and one bronze. To wear the medal of the most precious metal Giulia Fasana among the Beginners black belt, Fabio Giansiracusa among the Boys blue belt, then for the brown belts Potito Antonacci (Senior class), Samuel Garagliano (Boys) and Paolo Garagliano (Cadets).
Finally, it should be remembered that the event in Asti also saw Marco Obert in his first experience as a referee, with more than flattering judgments also in this role. –
