Formula1, exonerated Horner remains team manager at Red Bull

Rome, 28 February (askanews) – Christian Horner cleared of any charges. The Red Bull team principal remains in his place after coming under internal investigation for accusations of “inappropriate behavior”; he was called to defend himself against accusations of sexual harassment made by an employee of the Austrian team. After the face-to-face meeting with the pool of lawyers called to clarify the matter, the investigation continued, while Horner took part in both the official presentation of the new single-seater and the pre-2024 World Championship tests.

“A distracting affair, but we are a united team”, the team principal said on the day of the unveiling, already suggesting a continuation of the relationship. “The independent investigation into the accusations made against Mr Horner is complete and Red Bull can confirm that the complaint has been rejected – reads the official note -. The complainant has the right of appeal. Red Bull is confident that the investigation was fair, rigorous and impartial. The investigation report is confidential and contains the private information of the parties and third parties who cooperated in the investigation, therefore we will not comment further out of respect for all concerned. Red Bull will continue to strive to meet the highest standards in the workplace.”
