Beijing and Hong Kong Teams Advance in Youth Men’s Ice Hockey National Winter Games

The youth men’s ice hockey competition at the 14th National Winter Games continued on February 20th, with the Beijing and Hong Kong teams securing victories and advancing to the semi-finals.

In a dominating performance, the Beijing team defeated the Sichuan team with a score of 12:1. The Beijing team’s Xiao Yuze scored a goal just 10 seconds into the game, setting the tone for an impressive display. With 70 effective shots compared to the Sichuan team’s 24 shots, the Beijing team’s victory was well-deserved, securing their spot in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, the Hong Kong team also secured a place in the semi-finals by defeating the Jilin team with a score of 9:3. Zheng Anzhe’s two early goals helped the Hong Kong team establish an advantage, ultimately securing their second consecutive victory and the top two positions in Group B.

In another match, the Heilongjiang team emerged victorious in a close game against the Shaanxi team, with a final score of 3:2. Despite the Shaanxi team’s efforts to equalize the score, Heilongjiang maintained their lead and secured the win.

The Inner Mongolia and Tianjin teams also faced off, resulting in a 3:3 draw at the end of regular time. The game went into overtime, and Tianjin’s Lu Chang scored the winning goal just 1 minute and 11 seconds into the extra period, securing a 4:3 victory for the team.

With these results, the Beijing and Hong Kong teams have advanced to the semi-finals, while the competition in Group B remains fierce as the teams vie for the remaining spots in the next stage of the competition.
