Arian, born in 1972, arrived in Italy in 1994, as an athlete of the Albanian national team. He then remained in our country, settling first, for about a year, in Molise (in the province of Campobasso, in Ururi, whose inhabitants are of Arbëreshë culture and language, Italian-Albanian) and then in Ponte nelle Alpi. in the Belluno area since 1996, for over a decade. Now he lives in Albania, but still often returns to the province.

«In Belluno I worked a lot and I also learned a lot», he explains, «from the culture of work to knowing how to live with a reality different from one’s own, from food to love for the mountains». Fetishaj led the Albanian national team to world championships, Mediterranean Games and several international meetings. He was also the head of the Albanian delegation that a few years ago took part in a boarding school in the federal center of Ostia as part of a collaboration project between the Albanian and Italian federations. Now he is preparing to live the most important appointment, the Olympic one.
