Volleyball Belluno begins to breathe the playoff atmosphere. The final phase of the women’s Serie B and B2 championships will start on Wednesday 12 May for both Da Rold Logistics Belluno (which will debut in Padua against Valsugana volleyball) and Cortina Express (which will make its debut in Trieste). As for the return, at De Mas, the boys from Poletto will take the field on Saturday 15th, the girls from Pavei on Sunday 16th. All pending official status.
And if the men’s sextet is working almost non-stop to recover form after the period of rest, the women’s one has already entered the atmosphere of the playoffs. On Saturday, in Padua, coach Dario Pavei’s girls beat Aduna 3-2 in a friendly match (formation in which the former Alessia Tonina plays). The Bellunesi won the first three sets of the match without any particular difficulty (25-23, 25-19, 25-21). Only at that point, the Aduna hinted at the comeback by winning the last two partials played (25-11 and 15-9) against a Belluno in which coach Pavei had largely reshuffled the cards. Beyond the result, the goal remains to reach the first round of the playoffs in the best possible way. Also in this perspective, the spiker Daniela Poles remained at precautionary rest.
Instead, Fantinel (18 points), Fioretti (11), Garzaro (17), Fiabane (7), Chiericati (3), Marchesan, Mengaziol, Pavei, Bortoluzzi, Zambon (2), Casagrande, Ingrosso, Lozza played.
The numbers are also excellent. The Bellunesi have beaten 9 times (against 8 aces of the opponents) by mistaking 11 services (against 16 errors in service committed by Aduna).
«All the girls expressed themselves on good levels», Pavei analyzes, «and in every fundamental, from reception to attack. Without considering the excellent distribution of Mengaziol first and then Marchesan. In short, a really positive test ».
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Jesolo and Fusion recovered the derby that was giving away the last available place in the playoff grid. Fusion Venezia (3-1) prevailed and thus managed to snatch fourth place from the Jesuits and, therefore, qualify for the final phase. In eight days, therefore, we begin. Here are the final rankings.
