From Rold waxed and swept away in Pineto. The leaders go easy in just three sets

The Belluno people were without coaches and four players. On Sunday at 6pm the match against Bologna at Spes

Nothing to do for Da Rold Logistics Belluno in the most difficult game since the beginning of the adventure in A3.

In Pineto, in the recovery of the first day of return, the leaders Abba imposes itself with a clear 3-0 against a Belluno overly decimated (by injuries, the consequences of Covid and work commitments) who takes the field after seven hours of travel .

Among the ranks of Da Rold, the absences are really heavy, as well as numerous. First of all, there is coach Diego Poletto, who came into contact with a positive and therefore forced to stay at home. Also absent the rest of the staff, from the assistant coach Lorenzo Nesello to the team manager Alessio Bortoluzzi. Leading the team from the bench is the general manager Franco Da Re. Among the players, the absences are those of Candeago and Martinez, in addition to the defections of Gionchetti and Della Vecchia.

The initial sextet, more than ever necessary, is composed of Maccabruni and De Santis on the diagonal setter-opposite, Graziani (who dresses the rank of captain) and Ostuzzi on the bands, Mozzato and Piazzetta in the center. The real news, however, concerns the role of the free: for the first time, in fact, the choice falls on the young Pierobon from Belluno, called to replace the owner Martinez and the “wild card” Gionchetti in one fell swoop.

The first set is also the hardest fought. In the initial stages, in fact, the Belluno people respond blow by blow to Pineto’s attempts to take the reins of the match in hand. The Teramani manage to score a first break at 16-11, but soon Belluno gets back in the slipstream thanks to two Aces from Ostuzzi: 18-16. The comeback, however, does not materialize. At 20-16 the bench from Belluno tries to slow down the rise of the Pineto with a timeout. At 21-17, Stefano Guolla makes his debut in the A3 series, taking over from Piazzetta for the batting round. In the final, De Santis cancels the first set point by drawing a hands out but Pineto wins 25-20.

The second set opens with the Abruzzese ahead by five points (11-6).

Pineto beats hard and receives well, Belluno fails to do the same, despite playing in flashes.

The Swedish Link drags Abba to +8 (17-9), but the guests are not yet willing to give up and with three points in a row they return to minus five (17-12) forcing the home coach to run for cover . In the end, however, an error in the serve gives Pineto the point of 25-15.

The road is now traced in the third set which opens with a severe 9-3 in favor of the hosts. Da Rold Logistics (who, already from the end of the second set, had also included Milani, and who in the middle of the third sent captain Paganin to Piazzetta) are unable to return to the game. Calonico signs the maximum advantage on 22-11, then Pineto definitively closes the accounts (again 25-15).

On Sunday, at 6 pm, at the Spes Arena, Da Rold Belluno will host Geetit Bologna in a much more affordable match. Much, however, will depend on the conditions of the people of Belluno.

Gionchetti will most likely be available, while Martinez and Candeago could return to the bench but they will almost certainly not be usable yet.

In the standings, nothing changes: Maccabruni and his teammates remain in eighth place, standing at 17.
