These are the expectations of the fledgling company Volpiano Pianese, a club born from the merger between Volpiano (Promotion group B) and La Pianese (Excellence group A and last year played at Paolo Rava in Chivasso), a club which officially presented last Thursday, June 9. , at 6 pm at the Air Palace in Leinì.

The board is formed by the president Massimo Gariglio, vice presidents Enzo Rolle and Fabrizio Fantini, president of the youth sector Enzo Caculi, Libero Tubino honorary president, sports director Gepy Rosso (with whom Michele Gricone will also collaborate), secretary Enzo De Benedittiis, coach Licio Russo , former coach of the Regional Juniores and Borgaro team.

Volpiano Pianese will play the home games in Excellence at the Goia di Volpiano, the same venue, among other things, of all the youth sector teams, which currently has about four hundred members, as explained by the secretary De Benedittiis: “We will always play in Volpiano – De Benedittiis affirms – and we will have as our main objective that of achieving, in the first year, a peaceful salvation. Let’s not hide the fact that in the future the goal could also be to try to return to Serie D like a few years ago », says De Benedittiis».

The first step will be to create a competitive squad for Excellence. The new coach Licio Russo will have to carry out a work of analysis and choice between the players of the squad of the now former Volpiano and that of the former La Pianese: “The first step – confirms De Benedittiis – of the new season will be a skimming between two roses and this aspect should start already at the end of this week and every single aspect will have to be carefully evaluated in order not to make mistakes, then we can think of intervening on the market in search of the pawns that will complete the squad. It will not be an easy job for Mr. Russo, but we must all row on the same side and work in the best possible way to build good bases for the season ».

The team should resume its pre-season preparation in August, even if the timetable has yet to be planned on this aspect, as De Benedittiis continues: “We will certainly start in August, but at the moment we have not yet established an exact date – he explains. De Benedittiis – and not even an official preparation program, but in the next few days there will be further news from all points of view ».
